LFG: find teammates for any game

GamerFinder is a free looking-for-group board. Instead of queueing with random players, you open a room that says what you want — game, mode, platform, region, language, microphone — and players who fit ask to join.

What does LFG mean?

LFG stands for “looking for group”: a player who wants teammates posts what they are looking for, and players who match reply. It started in MMOs and is now used for every multiplayer game, from Valorant ranked to a Minecraft survival world. On GamerFinder an LFG post is a room: it stays visible until it is full, closes on its own after six hours, and shows you who you are teaming up with before you queue.

Whatever you call it

People look for the same thing under different words: teammates, a squad, a duo partner, a clan, a group, co-op partners, gaming friends. GamerFinder is one board for all of it — ranked duos, five-stacks, raid groups, co-op partners for a survival world, or just someone to play with tonight.

Why not just a Discord LFG channel?

A Discord LFG channel works until it gets busy. Your post scrolls away in minutes, you have to already be in the right server, and you read the same message twenty times because nothing says who is still looking. A GamerFinder room stays up until it fills, closes itself after six hours so the list is never stale, shows platform, region, language, mode and free slots at a glance, and the owner approves who joins. You can still bring your Discord: paste the invite in the room and it is shown to the players you approve.

Not sure what to play?

In the app you can browse games by mood instead of by title: competitive, together, chill, party, scary or adventure.

Frequently asked questions

Is GamerFinder free?

Yes. GamerFinder is free, has no ads and nothing to buy. You sign in with Google, Discord or Steam.

Which games and platforms are supported?

Nearly 700 games, from Valorant, Counter-Strike 2 and League of Legends to Minecraft, Helldivers 2 and Genshin Impact. Every room is tagged with its platform: PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch or mobile. If a game is missing, you can still open a room for it by typing its name.

How do I find teammates?

Open the game's page and look through the open rooms. Filter by platform, region, language, mode (casual, competitive, ranked or custom), free slots or microphone, and ask to join a room that fits — or open your own room and describe what you are looking for.

Is my Discord or Steam contact shown to everyone?

No. A room's contact — a Discord invite, Steam profile or in-game ID — is only shown to players the room owner has approved.

How long does a room stay open?

Rooms close on their own six hours after they are created, so the list only shows people who are looking right now.

How does player rating work?

You can only rate people you actually formed a team with, and only at least ten minutes after the team was formed. Ratings are anonymous, and a player's reputation stays hidden until they have five ratings, so a single bad vote cannot ruin a profile.

Is there a mobile app?

GamerFinder works in any browser on phone or desktop at gamerfinder.app. An Android app is currently in testing.
